Money or Monotony

Welcome!  Let's start by addressing the need for this site.  "If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die" - Warren Buffett.  We don't necessarily believe that having money will equate to unlimited levels of happiness but we know that money offers opportunity, and opportunity offers the potential for a better life. There is a reason immigrants often navigate away from poorer countries towards affluent areas, they recognise the opportunity for a better life.  Monotonous lifestyles frequently exist because of financial constraints. You have to work a job you dislike in order to pay the bills. You can't afford to take that holiday you have always desired. In extreme cases, you can't even take your partner out for dinner.  It does not have to be like this. There are usually root causes behind the inability to generate wealth effectively.
